Chris dedicated the first 15 years of his career to the corporate realm, serving as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In 2008, the financial crisis changed the trajectory of his career as he watched a close family member lose their retirement along with millions of other Americans. This event ignited a profound shift and redefined the purpose of his career. Cyr Financial Wealth Advisors was born.
Today, Chris channels his expertise into guiding families through the AIM Retirement System, a comprehensive three-step retirement and income planning process. His focus lies in maximizing retirement success, implementing tax minimization strategies, and fostering multi-generational wealth for his clients.
Chris holds a master’s in finance from the University of Illinois-Chicago and a bachelor’s in finance from Eastern Illinois University. He has been a CPA since 1999, licenses including Series 66 and 63 and licensed in all lines of insurance.
Chris’s enthusiasm for retirement planning extends beyond client interactions. He is a sought-after speaker, captivating audiences nationwide with his insights and strategies delivered in an engaging and comprehensible manner. His podcast, Retirement For Life, serves as a platform to passionately disseminate his wealth of knowledge. Chris and his wife, Jamie balance life between Hennepin, Illinois and Sarasota, Florida. They are the proud parents of three adult children: Joseph, Emma, and Benjamin. In his leisure time, he enjoys golfing, gardening, pickleball, bicycling, and contributing to various municipal and non-profit boards.
